First GROWTH network meeting

On 18 December, the first GROWTH network meeting took place in which all Principal Investigators introduced all institutions, laboraties and team members and the appointed ESRs presented the outline of their research projects for the first time. Also, meet & greet sessions were planned between ESRs and their international secondment hosts.

The second day (19 December) contained a dedicated workshop on "Communicating with a Wider Audience" in which the ESRs learned to promoting their work and being able to debate its significance or its controversial aspects to a range of audiences is an essential skill and will enhance your job prospects. This is an increasingly important part of a scientist’s professional identity.
