The microbiome – the microbes that live within the human body – can have a huge impact on human health. As such, it’s vital to understand the complexity of the microbiome, and how it can impact on disease and wellbeing.
On this free online course, you’ll explore how the microbiome changes throughout life, reflect on the role of food in its modulation, and explain the functions the microbiome has in the gastrointestinal tract in daily life.
Start of the course: 30 Nov 2020 (duration 3 weeks, 4 hours per week).
The course is developed by EIT Food: Europe’s leading food innovation initiative, with the aim to create a sustainable and future-proof food sector, University of Turin (Italy) and the European Commission.
