Interesting data presented at DDW on anastomotic healing by Konstantina Zafeiropoulou
Konstantina's data show the key-effects of prevotella on anastomotic healing (AH). Intermediate conclusions of her work, in more detail presented at DDW are:
1. there is no "beneficial" transcriptome characterzing the colonic tissue of AH patients.
2. there is no anastomotic leakage - related microbial dysbiosis
3. preoperative abundance of Prevotella associated with AH
